Remember MRod’s post about the poor Chinese man with the giant facial tumor?
Well, look now!
Huang Chuncai eats in his ward before his second operation to remove his tumours, which currently weigh around 10kg (22lbs), at a hospital in Guangzhou, southern China’s Guangdong province.
No seriously, LOOK AT THE PHOTO. This just made me lose my appetite (from sympathy) because I just had a wild daydream about what my life would be like if I had Neurofibromatosis and how sad it would be if I drooled constantly and could only eat mush. And then I would have applied to be on The Swan to undergo a fabulous transformation into a plastic looking porn star. Then I would sell my story to Lifetime, turn this into a fabulous Saturday night TV movie (tied in with some advocacy program, like human rights or whatever), quit my job and with my newfound celebrity status, succumb to the sins of Hollywood and probably become a meth addict (wait, wrong drug. Meth is too suburban/middle-class) but then recover in rehab to become a new advocate for women who suffered the effects of being beautiful, plastic looking porn stars and THEN star in my new Lifetime TV movie, Ugly Swan, Beautiful Duckling.
Sooooo back to Mr. Huang. Guess he is undergoing (or already went through, who knows. China is like a day ahead or something, right?) his second operation (yes the above photo was a year after his FIRST operation), but let’s send him all our best wishes for a safe and healthy recovery!
