Iced Dream Come True

June 17, 2008

Apparently people notice if I don’t post. Should I take that as a compliment? Since I rarely get those to begin with, I think I will.

I didn’t post yesterday, not because I was in a bad mood or work sucked, but because the day was pretty boring and I couldn’t find anything interesting to write about.

See, either I find something online that I have an opinion about, or something super exciting happens to me, and I want to tell the whole world.

yesterday, neither of those happened. Let me tell you–the Internet can be a very boring place. People keep showing the same links (i.e. Have you seen this video of Kobe Bryant jumping over a bunch of snakes? YES. STOP IT.) and I really have nothing to say about it. Or uninteresting people die, and I have nothing to say about it.

Today looked to be the same–I mean, see? It’s almost 5:00pm, and while I’ve been running in circles around my cubicle, I still didn’t have anything to talk about.

EXCEPT NOW.

I just got an email confirming the shipment of a package from Santa Cruz, and I literally sat (slumped) in front of my computer trying to figure out what the hell it was.

Then I remembered!!!

Soon I will be the proud owner of a new Vietnamese Coffee Filter/Press/Thingy – that – you – put – on – top – of – a – glass! Ca phe sua da , here I come! Deliciously strong shots of coffee mixed with deliciously sweet and creamy condensed milk, mixed with deliciously cold iced cubes–this drink is pure heaven.

I can’t wait. I’m gonna stay up all night drinking this stuff.

Literally. Can you imagine how much caffeine is in one of these drinks?

  1. Wow, the coffee looks like it has enough caffeine in it to blow a hole through the door! Guess it can’t be any worse than an Irish coffee.

  2. the only thing lamer than not posting is posting about someone noticing you not posting.

please don’t misinterpret this comment as a compliment.

  3. comments will always be lamer.

  4. wait, is there really a video of kobe bryant jumping over a bunch of snakes? post that lol

  5. nevermind i searched for kobe bryant snake >_>

there goes a minute and a half of my life. to make this comment not pointless i shall post a video. it is a strange korean show called xman where celebs play a game trying to make the other person agree. you have to start your turn by saying ‘of course’. they basically just talk shit to each other and its pretty brilliant even if you dont know the stars.

  6. Hey Moye,

I’m sure you know the best coffee and condensed milk to use but I’d like to mention the brands my vietnamese friends use at home (and in local restaurants) here in Toronto:

Cafe du Monde coffee and chicory blend: http://shop.cafedumonde.com/mpr/mdb-cafed?cfg=cafed&fnc=3&style=4&form=detail.htm&header=coffDetailHead.htm&footer=detailFooter.htm&rno=14

Longevity Brand (sua ong tho): http://www.sunhingfoods.com/bybrand.php?longscm14oz

As you know, what you use will totally make a difference.

You’ve now given me a powerful craving for a vietnamese coffee! Thanks a lot!

  7. I actually have no idea what coffee is good! I was just talking to Kev about it, so THANK YOU!! I think I’ll try to buy some online. :)
